  • INHALATION
    		• Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Dizziness. Drowsiness. Headache. Laboured breathing. Nausea. Vomiting.
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED! Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin (further see Inhalation).
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES

    		• Face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin (further see Inhalation).
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Give a slurry of activated charcoal in water to drink. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Sweep spilled substance into dry containers. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Separated from strong oxidants, acids, acid chlorides, acid anydrides, chloroformates, food and feedstuffs.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

     The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic fumes (nitrogen oxides). Reacts with strong oxidants causing fire and explosion hazard. Reacts with acids, acid chlorides, acid anydrides, chloroformates.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: 0.1 ppm; 0.5 mg/m3 (skin) (ACGIH 1991-1992).
    PDK: 1 mg/m3 (USSR 1970).
    OSHA PEL: TWA 0.5 mg/m3 skin
    NIOSH REL: TWA 0.5 mg/m3 skin
    NIOSH IDLH: 50 mg/m3


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the skin and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance may cause effects on the blood , resulting in cyanosis, formation of methaemoglobin. Medical observation is indicated.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     The substance may have effects on the blood , resulting in forming of methaemoglobin.
