EXPOSURE
PREVENT GENERATION OF MISTS!

  • INHALATION
  • Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Convulsions. Diarrhoea. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Shortness of breath. Vomiting. Weakness.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Artificial respiration if indicated. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
  • MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness (further see Inhalation).
    Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES
  • Redness. Pain.
    Safety goggles or face shield.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
  • Abdominal pain (further see Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Do NOT wash away into sewer (extra personal protection: A/P2 filter respirator for organic vapour and harmful dust).
Separated from food and feedstuffs. Keep in the dark. Well closed.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
COLOURLESS TO YELLOW LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR. TURNS DARK ON EXPOSURE TO AIR.

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes (nitrous oxides, hydrogen chloride - see ICSC # 0163).

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
    TLV not established.
    MAK not established.

    ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and through the skin, and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
No indication can be given about the rate in which a harmful concentration in the air is reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis. The substance may have effects on the liver and kidneys and also the blood system , resulting in forming of methaemoglobin.
